    -------------------------------------------

    When I was young
    simply hearing your name
would strike such fear in my heart
    But now
hearing about you across seas and oceans
    in wars were your overworked
Or seeing you right here at home
I have grown to accept you
    as a part of life
That with life there must be you
    I am no longer afraid

    ...of facing death

hmmm this was a good write, especially for one of your first few tries at it, and you have alot of talent that I saw in so few words, I was left feeling like you had a little more to say in this one, I'm sorry that I don't know you well enough to say exactly what that might have been, but then again, maybe it was complete for you as the writer and there was just something I wasn't getting, overall it was a good write though, and fairly sad, although that doesn't mean it wasn't good...keep writing, I'll have to read some more of yours soon
    take care,

This was a little sad, yet enjoyable. This had a simple, yet deep meaning behind it, and I am glad that you posted it for different interpretations. I liked what Jason suggested but can not tell you whether it is better than the previous one. Perhaps, you should put that in the description for others to see and compare. On the whole, this was deep and meaningful and somewhat thought- provoking. Keep it up

This was a cool write. At first I thought you were talking about a person [ like I think you want us readers to think]. A person you hate and are afraid of, though is a part of your life..
Then ofcoarse.. How could this been about anything else then about death? Like the others said, this is indeed simple [as in word use, but that was a good thing here] but deep.
The message.. death is part of our life. you can live with always fearing it, or try to live with it. Well I cant. Some persons really close to me died and ever since I am afraid I can just as well lose everybody, just like that. In a way that makes me scared of death, but in other way, I am not. I am not afraid to die myself, just afraid that others will.
This was really a good piece.
    take care or don't,

I have to say that I really enjoyed reading this piece. I read it a couple of times and each time more and more of it really had an effect on me. Death used to scare the crap outta me, but I've come to realize that it is a part of life and a reality that everyone must face. I like the way that this was structured and I liked the wording in here a great deal. There is a great amount of depth in this piece and I enjoyed reading it. Great job!
