I suppose this is a good depiction of how time is always at our heels, and is never a friend. At least this is how I saw this piece. I think the slight rhyming takes away from the feel of the piece, but overall, it was a nice read. I liked the picture you were portraying in the meaning.
Well... it does go around the block.I like some of these short poems because there is so little to grab onto that the meaning or feel or mood is all there is.
you'll agree it is not an elegant and considered statement..but the way it rhymes and then ends with tic toc tic toc...works well. it has a fun feel..." the around the block in less than a jiffy" if i was forced to find a meaning...since clocks do not travel around blocks really faST. usually...this could be about drugs...getting loaded on something that hurries a person up and then the feeling of the clock paSSING TIME...OR.... steve
