The Rain "Friend or Foe"

Is the rain
Friend or foe
ask yourself the question
You should know

I was walking home
when it started to rain
It was a busy day
and i was feeling pain
The sky was cloudy
There was no satrs in sight
The sky was grey
It was a very dark night

As i make my way home
the rain showered down stronger
My clothes were soaking wet
Making my journey
Feel so much more longer

The rain came down on my head like a large body of water
Smashing on my skull
like a drum being beaten by a drummer
Down my face
the rain ran
Then onto my neck, my chest
then finally on my hand
But walking for such a long time
It feels like i didnt start
There was no surprise to my thinking
It was incredibly dark

My house was now in sights
As my feet started to tire
And my life was now on the wire
I have been running alot
and my feet were all that i've got
To fulfill my ultimate goal
Thus making my way home
But the rain continued to fall
and i was becoming cold

But then we say
Oh the rain, the rain, its so wonderful
But only when we're in bed
tucked in and warm.
But when we're caught on a lonely road
And its raining, its dark, and oh so cold
We suddenly realise the rain becomes our greatest foe.

Is the rain
Friend or Foe?
Ask yourself the question
You should know.

This is really refreshing, you used the standard ABAB rhyme scheme but like H.Redd said the simplicity of it is what makes it so refreshing. Nice write man.
