Lavender blue, and Rosemary green this world is such a beautiful scene billions of bird flying high in the great big, blue sky Looking at the animals on the rich green grass they are running and jumping as they pass hares eating carrots, and horses eating hay this is such a beautiful day A mother and her duckling swim on the pond while a baby calf and his mother bond frogs jumping from lily pad to lily pad looking at this day, you couldn't possibly feel sad Big watery raindrops fall to the grass feeding it so it will live and last then the big, bright beautiful sun soaks up the water for everyone Watching the leaves as they fall form the trees while it's branches hold hives for the bees bees collecting honey for us to eat delicious honey, it tastes so sweet Beautiful butterflies flying along they make you want to sing a song watching and watching the nature's ways as I said before this is such a beautiful day |
Lovely poem, Amber. Do tell Megan that I thoroughly enjoyed her poem. A very good description of a beautiful day! I liked the many details in this poem - each one of them is so sweet and well written. Tell her to keep on writing cause I didn't evern start writing things till I was like 14 and even then those were just growing writes and were not even good.and tell her that i particularly liked the last stanza | Beautiful butterflies flying along they make you want to sing a song watching and watching the nature's ways as I said before this is such a beautiful day especially the last 2 lines much LOVE JAmes | Posted on 2006-09-15 00:00:00 | by James Reyna | [ Reply to This ] | It's nice and refreshing to see a young outlook on trhe world. I tend to pass up the naturalness of the day-to-day, and see only what I think is important (to me). Yeah, she's young, and has a few things to learn about composition, but such a beautiful start is heart warming. Thank you for sharing her work--a gracious gesture on your part. | | Posted on 2006-08-16 00:00:00 | by coyote | [ Reply to This ] | Aww how old is your sister? This is great and it's put a smile on my face - reminds you of the simple things in life and the ability to admire things that are oftentaken for granted. | Go your little sis, and go you for putting it up for her! Hope she feels great about it, she should! | Posted on 2006-06-20 00:00:00 | by Tali | [ Reply to This ] | It is really cute, though she could work on the flow of it a little.. Her rhyming is better than I can come up with as I write free verse, but she needs to equal out the lines so some don't feel like they are shorter than they should be.. | The subject matter is very sweet, though she might want to look into differing her metaphors and similes a little more as she referred to the grass and it being green a little too often.. All in all a very good write and very cute as well.. | Posted on 2006-06-20 00:00:00 | by Maskannai | [ Reply to This ] | Your sister did a really good job. I assume that your sister is very young but I find her imagination or should I say her outlook on life to be very cheery. I like that because it is rare to find these kind of writes from a young mind. I have found that I see so much anger here from the young teens and sometimes it is depressing to think that our youth of today are so negative. This write is far from that I like it for its simplicity. Sometime simplicity is what we all need to see life as it really is. Tell you sister that this was nicely done I will have a nice day today because of the images that she has painted here.
