I read about this reporter in 1800's and she pretended to be insane to see what life was like in the hospitals. That influenced me to write this poem, tell me what you think.

Make the font bigger!! Double Spacing Back to recent posts.

White walls, small space, low cieling
Is it a surprising you're insane?
You hurt with all you being
Do they care that you're in pain?

They hear your mourns and all your screams
They put a smile on their face
The come to you and say "sweet dreams"
    Your dieing in this place.

And if you're lucky, when you die
    Someone will come and say
"It's a mistake, this man was sane!"
But in the grave you'll lie.

I like this poem, it's rather interesting and the theme appeals to me. I think that even if most cannot relate to it, they must be able to have an idea of what this person is feeling. Perhaps it could even be symbolic.

Nice work, interesting to read. Keep up the good work.

It's a very odd poem. I like it a lot. You're right, with all that white and confined spaces, who wouldn't be insane in there? I wonder how many of the people who work there actually go insane themselves. Keep up the good (if slightly odd) work. Boo yah!

I don't know about this one. It seems a bit strange and not a lot of people would be able to relate to it. I think that this just wasn't neccesary to put down in writing. Good job for originality but I just don't think it was the best poem ever. Good try though.
