worm spaghetti


The Robin stretches the worm
from the watered ground
like spaghetti
from the pile.

But it seems less bloody
when the bird feeds from the earth
than the noodles
red with marinara.

A meal appears with effort
like a painting comes from blood
and the order
always wins.
