    The Breakfast –

The most important meal of the day,

    they claim.

    A pathological lie,

    for caffe latte is passé

    when anorexia is no sickness

    but the world is

    in Africa.

A tragic verse that's true, but one that needed to be ponted out to all who just don't care out there.

Thank you for this brief but well crafted piece.

Insightful and precise... I really like this.

It conjures a lot of imagery, like: a cafe with a person only artificially picking at their food, as to appear like a normal statistic...

So, anorexia isn't a sickness? What is it then? It's quite a paradox you've presented here... but it ties in with the overwhelming starvation and poverty that seems to be Africa's lot in this world.

I'm not sure how this works as lyrics, as it's a short-form poem to me, with no lyrical hooks or repetition to make this a song per se...

The implications of this are appealing in a completely naked yet layered-with-clothing way... if that makes sense.

Beautifully tragic is how this makes me feel...
