Hello Old Friend

Hello old friend.
It's been a while.
I wonder if you even remember my smile?

When we last saw each other,
We were so young and naive.

Now we have grown up so much,
I can hardly believe it is you.

Do you remember all those days we played together?
All the laughs we shared?

I wonder,
Do you ever remember how much I cared?

I haven't forgotten all of your favorite things.
Nor the goofy things you loved to do.

Now you're in a band.
You have new friends, new favorite things and new things to do.

Can we still be friends like we once were?

Can we pretend all those years spent far from each other never occured?

Maybe we can just turn back the years,
back to when I left,

We can start off from there
so I never missed a step.
