In my piece, a woman is near another whom she thinks she deeply passions for, but as she tries to say I love you, she realizes that no words could leave her mouth and she is stuck in a lust for love

    dotsA Lust for Lovedots

Pages turned before her in a simple
Yet exquisite way, her fingertips caress
    The soft neck of another
Her eyes watch the lips and leaves
a reminiscent kiss upon the other

Why is it that when she goes to
say the forbidden fruit of words
    strung together so simply
That the words cannot leave her mouth. . .

She conspires a lust for love
    Nothing more, nothing less
No feeling in that deep unforsaken place
That used to be her heart
    Lined with joy and laughter
    Now with nothing left
But a tear and a nonchalant longing
    For the lust for love

I absolutely fell in love with this poem! I love the title 'A lust for love'. Usually it's either lust or love, but you fin a way to combine the two in perpetual synergy to make this beautiful piece of poetry.

It sort of just rolls off the tongue, ya know?

    I <3 this poem.

    Keep Writing, you're great!
