There was a time I believed in you And I looked the other way..... I know I believed what I needed to be true Within this lie's decay..... Warped and wrapped in solace Now And endeavor you make look So real, The silence is a stamp- Has the weight of Granite- Uncut for all to feel.... A sharp- shrill laugh carving through the shadows Mocking and tormenting me, A wag of your finger And a tilt in your chin As you provoke the worst incessantly.... A matron's delight wreaks of tainted views and hushed beliefs, A follower to lead By the nose and take close heed--- If an argument ensues Then you must be agreed Or forfeit your right To stand or walk beside me..... Shittttt...... You are a joke A lousy puppeteer I'm unamused By the clucking of your tongue By the masses you blindly steer, A jovial display Is a display nonetheless In the quiet of your heart Awaits the truth Or what is left.... And when upon it finds you Whether life still remains within Or not I hope you remember what you lost Filled with bereft Your weak hands wrought. |
