i float inside this crystal cocoon like the larvae preserved within an amber shell i stir between mercury, silver and glass time has slowed now glass is a liquid, you know it flows imperceptably through millenium and now i am liquid, as well i fill this shell, this void i am made tangible again a residual trace of spirit in cryogenic stasis a prismatic representation of one thousand souls in focussed laser and honed adaptation i have no terminal form what you are is what you get pure as any binary code in pixilated technicolor the crystal grows as it will in any geode it will not be denied and is limitted only by the artifice of boundary the flesh you perceive is transitory as the speed of light the shadow stretches inside the chrysalis the pheonix rebuilds her prison |
this is aweomse! you need to get your work published. only two minor changes i see that i'd make. i think you meant 'millenia' in line 7. also i would delete 'i am ' at the beginning of the 3rd stanza. terrific work! peace, joe | Posted on 2006-08-05 00:00:00 | by joeyalphabet | [ Reply to This ] | um...wow. for one your vocabulary and mastery of the english laguage astounds me | ![]() well this seemed like one of those random pieces just by reading your description, but this piece was targeted at something in particular, perhaps something hidden deep off in the far stretches of your subconscious, or dream state, and was just then emerging. i loved the symbolism and imagery that this piece created for me, as though i was that ball of mercury, transforming, morphing and conforming to societies constraints, binds and vices in search of social acceptance...anyways thats just a glimpse of what this poem spurred within me. i greatly enjoyed the write, and i look forward to reading more of your poetry. merry meet and blessed be Loquacious mind aka Suicidal Mute | Posted on 2006-08-02 00:00:00 | by Loquacious Mind | [ Reply to This ] | |
