It sounds like a Palestinian might have tried to shoot at the circling Israeli Helo - notably the shots came after the missiles had already been launched from the helicopter. There is no justification for a missile strike on a nonviolent protest. That Apache(?) Helo? Those surface to air missiles? This apartheid situation? That couldn't be done without America supplying arms and aid to Israel, just like Iran and Syria do to Hezbollah. Why am I so focused on the Middle East Conflict (especially when there is so much strife in other places - say, Somalia which is in active civil war)? Because this blood is on my fucking hands. Because I think its a dangerous and disgusting precedent to use one instance of ethnic cleansing (The Holocaust - and it did happen numbnuts) to justify another. And most importantly, because if Americans hadn't buried their heads in the sand in 1939, that shit wouldn't have happened either!

Ironically the 4th Geneva Convention was a response to the Nazi slaughter of defenseless Jews. The SS maintained that it as well was accountable only to its own courts. Hopefully the world won't stand around and wait for a repeat of what they did.
I'm tempted to join the military just so I can be involved in the inevitable War Crimes Trials that will prove him wrong...

NB: Ben-Gurion was a truly compassionate man who was perhaps blinded by his own zealotry - it must have been very difficult for him to accept this sort of neocolonial defense (ie, we protect ourselves from the Indians, but they attack us because we are taking their land). He is known as the 'Armed Prophet,' and I personally admire him greatly, altho my hero-worship has never been uncritical. |

How bout some war crimes indictments on the cats who's running it?
How about 2006 looks like 1939?
And once again America is acting like it don't mind -

The military is the governments' band,
And without the people's support the government
