    -------------------------------------------

    I saw unmistaken, my deep bond with you
    To a grave, weeping while I lift you.

    No more pain, yea this much is true.
    And your earthly body was not truly you.

    You couldn't die if you weren't born too.
    The eternal shines constant. Still I miss you.

      Awww what can I say! As a cat lover myself I was right there with you, as you laid your pet to rest. I have a 14 year old cat called Pandora and I love her to bits, I can't imagine her no longer being part of my life and will miss her dreadfully when the time comes. It's hard to watch them age before your eyes and you explained that perfectly in these lines;

    No more pain, yea this much is true.
    And your earthly body was not truly you.

    Very nice poem.

      This is a very lovely tribute to your cat. It is always so hard to lose an animal, I know, I have been there as well and still miss them to this very day. I didnt have a cat, I had dogs. I have always been a "dog lover" although I love all animals. They truly are a member of the family just like a human being and when they die it is indeed heartbreaking. I hesitate to get another animal because of the huge sense of loss and they just dont live long enough but perhaps someday I will as I do miss having one around. At least we always have the memories of the happiness they brought while they were alive. This is a very nice poem. take care.
