    dotsCare to Caredots

A crescent moon fills the sky
And all the demon's children run ary
Scurrying around trying to find favor
Following the orders of their supposed savior
A fairy begins to tell a tale
Of how a story was doomed to fail

A man of a golden halo instructs the world
To listen to him or they will be hurled
    Tossed deep into wicked doom
Swept aside by a sharp clawed broom
The fairy teller began a pause
Then told a story of Santa Claus
A cheerful man who ate all day
With a caring smile letting off a harmful ray

The begger cared, the hobo cared
With deep eyes that never faired
But people pass them by each day
Letting off their own harmful ray
And to each his own, hurray
Each care to his own, hurray?

This was a well written piece that gives the reader a chance to bend it to their own liking. I think the part I liked the best was the middle; I took it as most people believe in things on blind faith. To me Santa and Christ (assuming the halo reference) come close to the same. Both idolized for their "morals" and "beliefs", both want you to be good or there is a consequence to be had. people put a lot into faith for the goodness of their own well being, but when it comes to the salvation of others or lending a helping hand, unless it benefits them is some way, most people look away at the dregs of society; almost like Santa and Christ won't mind if I pass them by, someone else will help them. Could be way off, but that's what I got out of it. Thanks for the submission!!!
