Description: is a mistake really a mistake
when you knew beforehand what would happen
if you failed?
a mistake, a moment, but no regrets -------------------------------------------
When does a mistake define a life?
when you've hit the bottom?
or when you can't find your way back to the light?
but is it really even a mistake
when you knew what would happen if everything went wrong?
when you still took the chance
even though you knew it would probably be a dive into the deep end?
and if that's your choice why should you bother to voice all the things you've got bottled up inside?
all the tension inside twisting you in two
should you speak a word of it yourself
cause the words got lost when you threw all reason to the wind
and let yourself fly for a moment in time
of course you knew it wouldn't last cause how long do these things ever last?
dreams are a flighty thing
and never last for longer then a moment
but at the time they seem like they could go on forever
that's the only reason they can trick people into living them
cause in that brief moment they feel like they feel like they're on top of the world
that nothing could eve bring them down
and then they fly too high
hoping to catch a glimpse of the sun
but it only ends with it melting their wax wings
Everyone makes mistakes. The trick is to try and learn from them and prevent making the same one again. "It is not the falling down.....it is the staying down".
