    i believe in evolution
    'cause i cannot understand
    the theory of creation,
    when all across the land
    there are fossils and bones
    from creatures now extinct.
so i questioned a good christian.
he didn't take too long to think.
"they're the building blocks left over
from when god made all the beasts.
he made more than he needed
    and his waste piles increased"
"then why are some so similar
to the ones we see at present?
that must prove the bible wrong-"
    "no, in fact, it doesn't.
    god put his bones together
and found a shape he liked,
then tweaked it a bit further
to get the animal just right.
the 'blueprints' that he didn't use
    were simply cast aside,
    because god doesn't UN-create;
    the bible's true-and-tried."

so if you go to a museum,
bones and fossils you will see.
just chalk it all up to "spare parts"
and a true believer you can be!

ditto on the difficulty on the theory of creation, but i still think too much, and then i try and think where did evelution begin. what was it that created the catalyst that began it all?
i think if i tried to ask a "good cristian" i would get myself black listed like a few others around me. we are perhaps a little too judgmental for our own good.
a good ending. it makes it seem so worthless to dig up all the bones then doesnt it, if they are all just spare parts, we might as well leave them in the junkyard, to disolve back into the earth.
brilliant with the rhyming here, though with the word structure, i am guessing it was natural, so if it was intentional, even better.

well done, for a silly little thing

*claps wildly* HERE, HERE, for a piece well-said!

As facetious as you've claimed this thing to be, you drive home some truly honest points. Like eowyn mentioned, our society, and many societies for that matter, take evolution theories right through the roof and into the ozone layer. Like the song says,

"In the end, it doesn't really matter"

But yeah, try to quietly explain that to a devout Christian, and you get a wild-eyed look, and a snub right off the bat....believe me, I'm Christian as of current, and at times, I look at others and chuckle right outloud. The blueprint part made me grin ear to ear. I can just imagine a single panel comic with god hunched over a work table covered head to foot in white chalk! hehehehe.
