    -------------------------------------------

    Spinning glass of Alabaster
    bright white rope entwined
against the black, it's spinning faster
    it twirls about my mind

    Lilting sickly to and fro
    my stomach lifts and sinks
a sticky pull, I fall then grow
    a sweating roiling stink

    Pulsing heat and pressing steam
    and bloody fingernails
I push you away and hear my screams
    and senseless hollow wails

So I try to forget about you
and put you on a shelf
but I realize I'd rather be alone with you
    than be alone with myself

Oh, so deftly done! A wonderful and insistant cadence throughout...superb rhyme and some great meter--not to mention a fine vocabulary--loved it, loved it! bravo ... bravo ... bravo ... michael

Your talent shines through again in this one. Clear, concise and put together perfectly.

A joy to read from you as usual.

This poem reminds me of your pic at the top of the page. You know... something trying to break free. I love all the feeling you put into your writing! Keep it up!

Be kind, take a few minutes to review the hard work of others <3
It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
