jealousy, the most horrific emotion one possesses
makin even the best of friends out to be monsters
turning people inside out, leaving behind inner messes
instead of seeking what they want, people take what others offer
you try so hard, you break your back
struggling but still you seem so far behind
when focused on things you want, the things you lack
you forget whats important- you lose your mind
even towards the people you consider your friends
to their face, speak with love to whom you adore
yet with devious eyes secretly you plot their ends
envious, hating, spiteful, wanting more
take to heart these written words
that so many have passed them by
just sit & think about the herds
of "friends" who wait for you to die
why spend time pining for what others own
when you're gone, you cant take it with you
so jealousy makes people feel so alone
dont keep begging- just start anew
hold on to what you've got
it's more precious than you know
i've never given it a second thought
or my hatred ways would show
next time dont be jealous of someone
it doesnt look good on your part
the only posession thats worth a ton
