Venus and Mars

The sands shift beneath my feet
as I race toward solid ground
and your arms.
The road is obscured,
the lines are blurred
as Venus and Mars are at war.
Your eyes beseech me to
throw you a life line of verbs.
I have nothing but
textures and colors.
I need you to hold a cloud
surround me with waterfalls.
To hear my voice
in the winds and join me.
I can’t be a mathematical equation
with a formula, clear and simple.
Be a feather or a dream
And learn to shift with me

I have no idea what your poem is about but I absolutely love the expressions, the wording everything. I don't get to read this kind of poetry here often. Goes to my favourites. Keep it up, you're good.
