If I could -------------------------------------------
If I could....
I would show what is really on the inside...
If I knew how to show...
the vibrant colors under the surface of me....
If u could hear the melodies that flow so effortlessly...
Then you would know...
You would know how our image of this world has no substance...
you would know that way down deep we all share
that simple thread called humanity...
you could see the innocence that engulf so many...
you could understand why my smile is not to be contained...
The music I hear is pure joy...
The warmth in my heart yearns to be free...
and full of versatility...
Come indulge you soul in my land....
lay down the burdens of this life.....
be free....
no judgement....
no regrets.....
no lies....
Just be....
If I could....
I would love you
with all the beauty I feel and see for all
eternity....
I often feel so wonderful and full of joy and life that I feel like I can't even begin to completely express that fullness to others but I try every day!
Wow....Wow...Wow. What else can I say? This piece is absolutely masterful. It puts into words that which I think we all feel at time to time. I, for one, know I have certainly struggled to put this feeling into words, and here you have done it with a simplicity and purity that leaves me breathless. It is so refreshing to read a piece about someone filled with such a passion and joy for life. It reminds me of the amazing love and care of my savior Jesus, and the joy he fills me with. I loved the lines:
"The music I hear is pure joy..." "If you could hear the melodies that flow so effortlessly..." (spelling corrected :) )
I love music, and sometimes I wish I could express myself not with how I look or the words I say, but with just music with all its raw emotion and power. I can hear it flowing through my head and wish I could just reach out and share this wonderful melody with everyone.
I also loved the line:
"the vibrant colors under the surface of me...."
Wouldn't it be amazing if we could always share how we feel and think through colors, every shade imaginable? Have you ever contemplated colors that no one has ever seen? Can you imagine such a thing? How wonderful that would be...
The only problem I could find was the occasional spelling error tripped me up ( u instead of you, prue instead of pure, versitility instead of versatility, and you instead of your) Those are the only corrections I suggest, and they are very minor. Terrific job, this goes into my favorites! :)
