    dotsEchos in my Headdots
    -------------------------------------------

    You
    You
    You

A word used as a weapon.

Days spent picking apart a shining spot
that seemed to irritate your world.

Don't do that, don't go there
Don't be that, don't say that
    Don't be it

I moved through life thinking I was winning the fight,
the fight against regret and anger
    against fear and loneliness
    against judgement and resentment
    but I wasn't....

All of it just hid in the recessess of my head
    Waiting for the day
when it could echo my past to my present
and turn my life upside down
    with it's unyielding torment

    All I ever heard was
    You
    You
    YOU

    YOU didn't do this
    YOU didn't do that
    YOU went out to long
    YOU help too much
    YOU help too many

Then the unspoken words, the silences
They were loud and hurtful but denied
    Unending suspicion and harsh stares
All for living life, for grasping it by the horns
    and wanting something from it

    Not satisfied to sit still
    Eager to taste dreams
    Desire to experience
    Ambition to try
    Not supported, stiffled and
    treated with contempt
    while years flew by

    The echos grew
    and their voice rings loud
I can no longer ignore them
    or stuff them down

Echos of pain and hurtful actions
thundering through my heart and mind
waiting for the time when they are put to rest

Too bad they continue to grow
Your inability to understand my pain
causes me more pain and only adds to my burden

    Your inability to selflessly care
Causes the echos to grow louder

Your inability to suffer with your own echos
causes me to bare two lives worth

    But you don't care
You only know that you cannot bare
The sound in your own head
The silence of my now quiet and torn heart
The screaming of what makes me ME

    Someday it will grow quiet
you will have what you want
I will be someone I do not want to be
and those that loved me will mourn.....

Wow definetly a good free verse. It gets you hooked and reading till the end. It gets you fearing for the person, you dont want them to change. :) I dont know what to write, its so full of emotion, it just left me speechless. :) But its a great write. I really enjoyed it.
