well i was not feeling like the last one i did was finished or showing the emotion that i wanted it to so with some help from magnolia steel i redid the whole thing let me know what you think and which one you like best. i belive that i hit the nail on the head with what i wanted to say with this one.

Humble Hero (totally redone)

Humble Hero

Mothers, Fathers,
Sons and daughters…
Courageously,
You fight for our freedom.
With the heart of a lion,
Fierce and brave.
Selflessly leaving behind
All you know and love.

You do this for us
So the river of hope,
For a safe future
Can keep flowing strong.
Ant our children’s children
Never know devastation
Like the crumbling twin towers,
except in history books.

Appreciation,
For what you do
Spreads like wild flowers.
Tears run like water falls,
with every departure.
Loved ones rejoice,
With each return and embrace.
You are a humble hero!

Thanks for all you do stateside and afar

  Hey

First of all I would like to thank you for your lovely comments on my poem „tale of a rose", I am glad you like it.
Now to your poem. I read both of them I must say this one is better. The other one is also good, but this one has more flow and emotions. The message is very clear. As a poem or an artistic work it is outstanding.

For me, I mean personally, soliders are not heros. It is just my personal view.
A very emotional and heartfelt work.

Well done
With love sanam
