To my parents

I feel so depressed inside,
It's something I acn no longer hide.
I have no doubt,
That I know wut it's about.
I could have seen,
That I too; was mean,
But my escuse is being a teen,
So what does your excuse mean?

I really like this poem. Very true I feel I could relate. They really don't have an excuse do they?

this poem was a little too short for my taste. and in the second line you misspelled "can". it's quite true though...

This is a simple yet complex poem. The wording is pretty straightforward but when you look into the depth of it, you have said a lot. Life is difficult, especially when you are a teenager. You are growing up, learning more about life and the world around you, developing your own identity, desires and wishes and often parents cannot relate to it. Perhaps it is the age difference and how much time has changed and they cannot relate as things now are so much different than when they were kids. It causes arguments. But, ulimately, parents are just looking out for you out of love and you will have disagreements. It is inevitable. I went through it too when I was a teenager but now me and my mom are the best of friends. It is hard but it will pass. A nice little poem here. My only suggestion for you is in regards to the spelling, several words mis-spelled, but that really isnt a big deal. Welcome to Elite. Take care.
