dotsUntill In The Light I Walk Againdots
    -------------------------------------------

    I’m falling…..

Jagged memories tear at my skin as I descend

My soul comes to violent rest, the wind knocked from it

I reach for a familiar hand into nothingness, beads of sweat roll from my fingers

    Nothing…silence…darkness

My ear to the cold floor….listen…

Nothing, but the sound of my own breath and heart

The rapture of my being…now lost

Torment in peace, my own voice the only comfort

Trapped here in the womb of lonesomeness

But to throw off this shadowy cloak which fails to soothe

And run unhindered, down the path to home

Harmony my companion as I feast at the table of affection

To converse with the angels of tranquility

And mend my tired and battered soul

Compassion and caring at my side

My brow wiped clean by love’s hand

This is the intimate friend I search for in the murkiness

Until in the light I walk again

Who never spent the midnight hours,
