I walk outside in the freezing rain
and see no one.
Cars pass by but they don't car
about the weather.
The rain beats down on the grass,
on the ground.
I wonder when the rain will stop
or die away.
I continue walking down the sidewalk,
fixing my scarf.
The rain is hitting my face so hard
that it stings.
But I continue on my way
through the rain.
People look at me through shop windows
like I'm crazy.
But I have no other way to get around,
only my feet.
I finally arrive at where I need to be,
the grocery store.
I head back home and wave at the passerbys
as they hurry.
They keep living their lives and it's still raining.
Can't stop the rain. |
