    -------------------------------------------

The sun rises, Im still awake,
This insomia follows me wherever I go.
Look at the time that love takes,
It seems so crazy, but I need you to know.
I can't sleep without you here,
And if I can only have one moment tonight,
I would hold you in my arms if you were near.
And never leave you from my sight...

Sometimes I think it's so crazy,
That I know your the cure to my everything,
I can say this but no one believes me,
But your all the pills for my suffering...

Sleepless I am again I watch the time,
Hours pass with all of our moments.
Just wondering if your okay will make me fine,
Thinking about all the time my heart spent.
Falling to pieces, just let me sleep,
    This isn't a joke,
Of the records of thoughts my head keeps,
My heart just can't let you go.

    Hear comes another sunrise,
    Burning my pale sleepless skin,
All I want to see through my blood shot eyes,
    Is you, holding me again....

Rest my head on my pillow,
Look into my eyes like you always do,
Hold my hand and don't let it go,
And let me sleep this night through...
Dance in my head while your next to me,
Let me dream with you near,
Let it be you in the morning the first I see,
And let your voice be the first I hear.
Let your body be my blanket,
    Let your arms by comforter,
And let your lips be my lullabye to forget,
The void I get when your further.

Hold me tonight so I can rest,
So I can feel next morning again refreshed.

      Oh Alex..

This poem is sad...but for understandable reasons. I feel..that this poem is about your mother. What day brings to you, it doesn't bring that relief....it is almost like a mockery of how the sun shines, when you said:

    "Hear comes another sunrise,
    Burning my pale sleepless skin,"

yet night befalls on your mind as though you can't sleep...You're waiting for that shine to warm you and fulfill you once again as when the day shined--by your mother.

"Rest my head on my pillow,
Look into my eyes like you always do,
Hold my hand and don't let it go,
And let me sleep this night through...
Dance in my head while your next to me,
Let me dream with you near,
Let it be you in the morning the first I see,
And let your voice be the first I hear.
Let your body be my blanket,
    Let your arms by comforter,
And let your lips be my lullabye to forget,
The void I get when your further."

This is when the memories kick in as they entertwine with the meaning behind the sun. To me, this sounded like a child recalling this as you said "rest my head on my pillow"...the "my pillow" can mean your mother since it's a sense of comfort and relaxation. It seems as though she is cradling you. "Let me dream with you near me..." that made me cry!..You're the second person that made me actually drop a few tears on this site, because to me, that meant that "dream" is happiness, and that that's obtained with her being by your side only. That she is responsible for your colorful dreams and your rest.

The insomnia reminded me of someone who is dead inside...I know we associate sleep with the dead, but without sleep, can we be alive? Can we fully function? Are sense of sleep is what keeps us alive ironically, and it's like we are resurrected every morning, without it, we deteriorate.

I hope I didn't kill your poem or anything..tell me how you thoughth of each stanza..
