    dotsAfraid to Love(Updated)dots

I don't look into the mirror, she'll be there.
    Again and again.
Same eyes, same face, she'll be there.
    Again and again.

The truth of my omition, she'll be there,
    pulling me in. Again
    And again she'll be there.
The brightest brown eyes, she'll be there.

She'll stare at me, she'll be there
The reality I fear, she'll be there
    Again she is there.
The beautiful brown skin, she'll be there.

Love, yes, love, she'll be there.
In the depths of my eyes, she'll be there
In the chasm of my soul, I'll be there.
In the mirror of truth, I'll be there!

    But I'm not...

But I don't look in the mirror.

Hmm..Let me just say..WOWWWWW!!! Well, I looked through your poem titles, and this one definetely struck a cord..and I'm so glad it did, I mean...this is great..The poem had a very fast pace for me, which I love..It just drags me in with this downward spiral. And a love for yourself? Thats interesting. I can't say I relate to that..Odd feeling..makes me want to touch myself, I'm just kidding. Loved it!

Quite intresting and different. I like where this piece is going. In your description you say your not done, I would like to see where it goes, should you decide to develope it further.

      Hi Aya,

Interesting self concept about love. You're afraid to see the person knowing that there is a fifty fifty chance you might hate this person or love the person. If you look into the mirror and see a person that you hate, you might set yourself towards a path of self destruction that is trying to change yourself just so that your outer layer will match the inner layer. And if you see a person you love, you might fall into the trap of narcissism (self love).

I think i'd like to see that kind of idea more. In this piece i think you're more focused on being afraid to spend too much of time on yourself. But i don't know the first impression that i got, this two faced idea of hate and love would make a wonderful piece...just suggesting something since you said you're not quite finished.

Other than that....i think you have a good thing going.

    Take care....

I like what you have done with this. I think it is good that we may need to learn how to love ourselves for who, what and how we are. It teaches us how to learn the skill of doing that with others.

When within the mirror we see the Goddess, we will finally see ourselves as she sees us.

    Nice work...
