    dotsThe Heart of the Forestdots

    This silent forest
    No wind, No breeze
    Something, it seems
    Still stirs the trees
    This ancient forest
    Primordial, vast
    Speaks of lost ages
    And shadowy pasts

    These winding paths
    Within the old wood
    Seemed to call me in
When on the edges I stood
    These twisting paths
Where they lead, I don't know
    They beckon, they pull
Where they take me, I'll go

    In the forest's deep heart
    Where the ancient oaks dream
    Silent and Waiting
    Giants, they seem
    In the forest's dark heart
    Forever, I'll stay
Though I look for the paths
    I can't find my way

I like this one even more. Simply because it contains my favourite motives: silence, ancient, ages, past, dream. It's utterly true. At least 20 of my poems have the same motives. I am so frusrated when my mind refuses to be original sometimes. I just love these motives. But it's not just that, the rhyming is priceless and the form works excellent on this piece. It was a pleasure reading it.
