    "to the drowning of sorrows"

    dear, we are asymptotes
that have slowed down and formed icicles
at the places we should have
    intersected.

    overflow on the car ride
deer run rampant as we express our
    indignation
    and flee.

    cycling around cinderblocks
we chase imperfections because they are us.

    firebursts bright somethings
    with little green umbrellas
    and our asymptotes form icicles
and still Thou art greater than I
    and finally we intersect

((causing extra calculations and a brief
    explosion
    of isolation))

The back engine of Mathematics and the operating system of Aesthetics are combining well in your poem. Thoughts like "we chase imperfections because they are us" makes it even more beautiful. Thanks for posting
