    dotsSearching For A Memorydots

    Rights and wrongs
    can only bend so far
before that fabricated line finally snaps,
    and compromising seems so easy
    when you can't find yourself
    in the mirror's reflection.

And every once in a while
    you'll remember when and sigh...
    when love overpowered
    the value of a dollar.
    When romance wasn't attached
    to a heavy price tag.
You'll remember me and want to weep
    for everything inside of me
that use to make you happy.

    You'll search for my memory,
but no matter how hard you try
you'll never find me in your mirror,
because you shoved me off the edge
of your contaminated mind so long ago.

Although my preference has always been towards rhymed, metred, poetry, I must admit your free verse is rather tempting. You have great talent with words, and your brief poetics summarise topics well-presented. Nothing much to say, really, you've done it for me. A great piece. And before I compliment you to death, there's a typo in stanza two: "used", last line.

    Take care,

Be kind, take a few minutes to review the hard work of others <3
It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
