It was written a long time ago. Excuse the...terrible-ness of it.

    dotsDead Catdots

That day after the school bell'd rung
The heavy backpacks I'd already flung
To run and catch snowflakes with my tongue
Only to see the door where the dead cat hung

I could see them pray in side the house
I dared not go near, nor to rouse
The folks who owned an ugly pet mouse
    Who were soon to douse
    their candle when He allows

I could not take my eyes away
On the folks who praise and pray
    - pray by night, and murder by day
They put on a show and a public display
Of murdering animals that accidentally ran astray

No wonder these folks are in constant disarray

Change bell'd to bell. Rung should be rang but I get that you wanted the lines to rhyme.

Why was the dead cat hanging on the door?

in side is one word - inside

The mouse allows them to douse their candle? What? lol

The people that murder animals were praying?

Woah, this write was really trippy. My head's spinning...
