Description: Very random spur of the moment thing. I've had the phrase "don't make a promise you can't keep" stuck in my head all afternoon and decided to make something out of it. Doesn't really make sense to me and I'm the author of the poem. Odd, ne?
The Promise Reaper -------------------------------------------
Don't make a promise
you can't keep.
Don't kill a soul
that you won't reap.
Take this to your grave
and know this well:
You commit a sin,
you go to hell.
Its like reading a really dark greeting card! And I really like that... very good rhythmically, it reads like one of those poems that just happens, and theres something so refreshing about them!
Nice, short, simple, and to the point. I would have tried to add more detail, but thats just me. I like how it flows and rhymes. Good luck on any future poems! ^.^
