I sat up till midnight waitin,hopin you'd show
But somehow I knew that you never would
Kinda expected that in an unsuspecting way
But still I waited in anticipation for your arrival

The moon rose high with stars surrounding it
No clouds were present,it was so beautiful
My mind drifted off to times that u were mine
And I didn't have to ask for you to see me

My eyes felt heavy and I craved the sleep
I wanted to lie down but not without you
Still the wearyness crept deeper into my body
And I felt myself slowly slip deeper into sleep

Suddenly I sat up,my mind still feeling fuzzy
Someone was there,I felt thier presence
A voice from the far end of the room spoke
"I sat all night waiting for you to wake up..."

And there you were,like sunshine to my day
Your words felt like soft velvet to my skin
I waited so long for you to show up last night
And yet here you stood watching me,waiting...

Nothing else mattered now,you finally came...
