    -------------------------------------------

    Pressing rare wings together
    hoping for a startling effect
certain that grease stains will no longer matter
when all the threads are loosely wrapped around her neck

    tighten
    smile and tighten

a woman sucking on the tip of her finger
    tooth under nail
    tugging it backwards
while examing the ring in front of her
that slides off much too easily

the flavor is absent from the tongue
but her saliva still maintains a silent warmth
and although it may lack the prevalent posture
    to crush this melodious infant
as he scrambles across more blank pages
she still has a chance to guess the tune
although she rather just count the pauses between notes
the way he used to do

I just hope I can understand the differences
    to quell this device
    this grinding sound
    deep inside of my conscience
that wants me to devour the broadening noise

her voice will not withstand the pressure much longer
and for my many tongues to form into a single understandable one
it might just take something more than what I am capable of
to avoid losing myself to this incomprehensible pain
I must answer my brainchild with something more than spattered excuses
in a way that is precise and unmistakable

seldom do liars change the sheets
    underneath which their lover sleeps

    often enough
lovers will ask for permission to wear one another's expression
but never will they except the responsibility
of permanently owning that face forever

Be kind, take a few minutes to review the hard work of others <3
It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
