    Description:
Well, here in Dallas, Christmas decorations are popping up everywhere, Christmas Carrols are playing on every radio station, and Christmas reminders are everywhere. So I thought, what the heck, why not put a "Christmasy" poem on Elite, just to flow along with the mood. So, those of you who like cats can check into how the Tomcat's Christmas turned out!!!!

    -------------------------------------------

    Twas the weekend
    of
    Christmas,
    and there in the
    house

    the Tomcat lay
    sleeping
    and here came
    the
    mouse.

    He was bearing
    small presents
    of
    Catnip and
    Cheese

    Twas just a
    small gesture
    so the Tomcat
    could
    see

    that a truce
    was in order
    for this festive
    weekend

    they could each
    open presents
    and act just
    like
    friends!

Oh good, at least the Grinch didn't steal Christmas from your page. LOL..
I will hold off reading any more of your Christmas poems until the season arrives....... NO WAIT, ERASE THAT, CHRISTMAS spirit should be shown all year long, so will just jump start the season and read them all.

P.S. TOM & JERRY are still favorites, this old man still has a young heart, oh and ROAD RUNNER & BEEP BEEP too. LOL
A very good write Ron, keep at it, for the sake of us readers. O.K. ?

Ah, Christmas is in the air, despite the politically correct super-Ghrinches ... a well and deftly done poem here ... Christmas decorations are out here in NJ as well as your Texas, however there are FEWER here because of the secular Nazis and their potent Gestapo here ... but I do wish everyone I see a Merry Christmas ... bravo! ... bravo! ... bravo! ...       I went out yesterday after two days of being sick. The entire town was decorated in Christmass lights (I live in a town called Pula by the way). I felt as though I 've missed something important. It's really beautiful. I'm just sad that I can't feel Christmass as I did when I was small. The spirit is not the same :( . But I felt a little piece of it again by reading your poem. Your poems always seem to make me feel happier. Thank you.

I'm a cat lover from way back, and this one tickled my fancy! Perhaps people could learn a lesson from this cat and mouse tale and extend a hand of friendship. Nicely done, Ron. :-) Peggy
