Not my best, but I thought the idea was at least a little creative. I wrote this one in ninth grade, I think.

Sleep and I broke up

Sleep and I have broken up
he cheated on me yesterday
I found him in my sister's room
so I've sent him far away
but even though I am angry
part of me is depressed
I loved him more then words can say
there's so much about him I will miss
like the way he always comforted me
whenever I was sad
he helped me escape reality
whenever I was mad
but now I'm on my own
tired and weak, with no one to care
your never realize how much you love someone
until one day, they're not there
this world is getting scarier
my fears won't go away
I keep telling myself it's over
but my feelings for him still stay
maybe i should give him a second chance
maybe I really need a friend
oh how I want to close my eyes
and drift out of this world again
and if again, he shall leave me
I'll slap him across the face
I wasn't meant to be without him
without him, I wouldn't survive this place

The way you personified “Sleep” was nothing less than clever.
What a scoundrel he really is, I agree with Katy when you said
You “Found him in your sister’s Room”…that was priceless!

Like I’ve said within one of your previous pieces…we share an insight on life…
And that amuses me, for it is rarely found.
I’ll be keeping an eye out for your work

PiperH………..Is H for Halliwell?

ahh its excellent i think this is my favorite. lol i love the part where you found him in your sisters room it makes the poem really humorous but as you read on it gets deeper and something you relate to but towards the end you pick it up like at the beginning it i love it excellent job
