    I am like a flower
    blossoming in the spring
    soaking up the sun
    a fragile little thing
    cherished by nature
    for beauty and scent

    I am like a flower
    disintegrating in the fall
freezing at the touch of frost
    but leaving behide my seed
    destroyed and demolished
    very glum indeed

I am like a new flower
and like in my life before
    I will bloom and live
    I will die
    as the cold sets in
    but I will live again
    through my descendants

i like this, the metaphore is good and very well developed and i can see how this would come out biology class. i think the rhyme scheme could use some work, though, either haveit consistently in the same format throughout or just go it free verse. i found myself looking for the rhyme scheme at one point. good write though, keep it up.
