Why do I have so may secrets
Why do I tell so many lies
With some friends I act happy
With others how I feel is what you see
So which are my friends
Who can I trust
Who really listens to me
And who will brush it off as something not true
I wish I could stop
With the secrets
I wish I could stop
With the lies
But if I do
Then they will see who I am inside
Inside is a part of my heart
That only some can take
That only a few will ever see
And if I open up
I fear some of my friends
Won't believe me
So I guess that's why
I keep those secrets
And I guess that’s why
I tell those lies
