    -------------------------------------------

Dark eyes watched the feminine figure wading in the water. She was covered in complete darkness against her luminous pale skin, a long polished wooden bow and violin was held tightly and protective in her grip. She waded waist deep into the water, and lifted the violin to the crook of her neck, and rested her chin on the chin plate.

The quiet harmony of nature's natural music inspired. In the moonlit clearing reserved only for those who appreciated the night's scent--the Nocturnal tasters--were welcomed. The moon was full and white, small spots of it was shaded and hidden from view in the dark night air. She inhaled and let the fresh and sweet scent fill her lungs.

The river she was in was the voice she was going to use. She let the river flow and lap at her, and she took it's soft voice and let her violin amplify the voice to those who couldn't hear the river's gentle voice; it had called her here.

Moonlight to wrap around this dark night, and give light to those looking for their lost way, where the stars have failed. I sing, I sing the years I have been here, the man lives that have surrounded me--those I have let flee me, and those I have taking beneath my surface.

She began to cry, and continued to play, lost within the river's tale.

I have watched the stars above twinkle, and frown softly, refusing to grant to wishes of those who frown and curse them. They are apart of the same cycle that I am;an endless lifetime of torment and burden;I continue to flow, unable to stop, unable to begin.

I fall as a majestic waterfall and create my offspring who shall take my place as I become older and begin to slow as time takes it's toll. Tis sad that time continues to take, but has never held the pleasantries of nature within it's grasp and breath it's healing breath and life into us, it let me crack fall into different and illegitimate bastard--they are not my children;do not judge me because I do not claim the children that time was made me bear.

She had to take a deep breath as the music filled her over-stressed her lungs. Her dark eyes were blurred so that she never saw the predator stalking much, much closer to her.

I have watched the cycle of life continue around me, and frown because I was once apart of that cycle. I have become a still fathom, and broken remnant of my former self. I have become a hunger monster, taking young life--mere children compared to me--and absorbed them into my self. I've held them in my cold and murky embrace as they struggled, I do not release them, and then they fade away from me. I take their bodies and add them to my countless collection.

And then the other children gather to mourn the dearly departed and my conscience returns. I have taken away from them a loved one.

They smiled sometimes in their memory, and leaves a small marker in remembrance and gently without anger say "That this mighty and beautiful has taken our stolen child and carried to their final destination in it's loving embrace, smile and rejoin upon their memory". But alas how mistaken has these people been for I intentional have taken their life, and filled my deep and empty depths with their fragile and lifeless bodies.

She inhaled and stop playing the final note echoing in the clearing.

And hungrily I await another beautiful life to take and embrace.....

Her eyes closed, and her bow fell into the water, closely followed by her precious violin. Her pale face turned towards the heavens and her dark hair fell in beautiful and careful layers at her lower back. She was slowly sinking into the river;it was drawing her into it's embrace and she was being drawn into it. Slowly her body sank into the depths and her held shot out to grasp only air, as her whole body was submerged and only her falling pale hand was seen.

He moved quickly, and grabbed her hand, yanking her from the river's grip. It offered no retaliation, merely let him pull her back towards him...he watched the river warily, before cradling his pale, cold prey to his chest. He turned and left the river--intent to continue with his plans for her.

Behind him, the river's spirit frowned slightly, her prey was rescued from her weak grasp;and she cursed herself. However, she held the violin and bow as another prize, returning it to her vaulttreasures. Now, she had a stronger voice to beckon her stolen children with;she silently thanked the young woman being carried away from her.

My voice may now be heard to my children... Thank you little rock...;the only one to escape the temptation of my current.
