Description:

Haven't we all once fallen for something great then had something better choosen over us? Sometimes they are forgotten but when it comes to love, it's burned like a scar on our hearts, or its released on paper.

The Poetry Book

Your stuck in my head
As Im climbing these stairs,
To a poetry book
Recording you there
Your smile, your eyes, so just take a look,
I've hid you inside
My poetry book.

These words are just echos,
Been written before
The happyness, sadness, showing up more
Its because some things can never be spoken,
Less by laughter in lyrics,
Or words that are broken.

Some stories have been written,
But have not been read
Its lungs are still breathing,
But they must be dead
Cause some memories have faded
Not that Im complaining
Ill cry one more tear
For the friendship we're making.

You write me a song.
Im captured with laughter,
Even once more,
And the time after.
I dream of your voice,
But it fades like a vapor,
If I dont jot it down
Write it on paper.

My sleep is a slumber
You accompany me in
My lips sing a song
I can dance with you in
But your love is still learning
To be more concerning.
You live in completeness
But my heart is still yearning.

I can fight like a warrior
Take on ten thousand Men
If I can't do it once
I will try it again
But whence I behold you
I am lost for a while
Caught in your arms
And your boyish, sweet, smile.

I wish to be Lovely
when caught in your eyes
And my heart longs to be
what makes your blue skys
Too bad there is another
Who looks at you too
Her face like a curse
Thats following you

She could be everything
I am and more
So choose for forever
And think of me no more
But as you forget
I cover the heart on my sleeve with a glove
I fell for your heart
And you rejected my love

So I write it once more,
As I climb these stairs
To a poetry book
Recording you there.
Your smile, your eyes, so just take a look
I hid you inside
my poetry book.

Amazing, truly amazing. The classic love story gone bad, you can't have both. I loved it, a few lines took me a few reads to absorb per say. It is near perfection in my eyes, but it could use a few tweaks.

I can relate to what you're conveying. Too many times to we fall in love and dive in head first, just to be rejected and forgotten.

I really like your taking on ten thousand men. It shows strength, but you go on to show how he makes you, a strong one, weak. It really stood out for me, and grabbed my attention and thought.

So again, a few tweaks for perfection. Great job!
