    As the rain roared outside…

    As the rain roared outside
Forbidden to see the pain inside
The crystal eyes looking far and wide
Where is the promise of the ebbing tide?

Forbidden to see the pain inside
Failing to see the tears they cried
Where is the promise of the ebbing tide?
    Shadows spreading far and wide

Failing to see the tears they cried
Pain and fear by the pale moon light
    Shadows spreading far and wide
Like silent voices as the children cried

Pain and fear by the pale moon light
As the people watched in sight
Like silent voices as the children cried
Wishing for someone to be on their side

As the people watched in sight
    Fire burning hot and bright
Wishing for someone to be on their side
The children cried out of fright

    Fire burning hot and bright
Burning and blazing in the night
The children cried out in fright
    But no one tried

Burning and blazing in the night
    People screaming, families held tight
    But no one tried
No help came by the pale moon light

    People screaming, families held tight
Crystal eyes looking far and wide, but seeing nothing
No help came by the pale moon light
    As the rain roared outside.

Let the sun rise, all is done.

A very deep and dark poem. at times the rhyme scheme seemed a bit bit forced but and overall well flowing poem. some the the spacing and lines threw me off beat but like i said an overal good flow. kudos on a good write.
