Description: This is one of my oldest poems and was the first poem I posted on this sight.
Beginning Has Begun -------------------------------------------
This bird will fly
with one eye open
and the other on the sky
I try to keep the darkness
away from my site
even if it hit me straight on
I'd be protected by the light
the gray creeps in sometimes
to try to get me bitting
at my seams.
but he shields me with his armor
and he protects me with is his wing
whenever I have tears of mist
and rain is falling down
I just look to the heavens
for that little sound
my angel of mine
how he watches over me
my angel of mine
stands by me
may this bird fly away
into the sun
to find a new day
where the beginning has begun
I always like goose-bump raising redemption in poems, and the last 10 lines of a seemingly morose tale are rescued brilliantly by the fact that there is always another day. The fact that the next day doesn't always turn out ok doesn't bother me. nice. 8 /10
Wow, i love it! I love the thought of our angels and how they watch over us. Absolutely captivating. The ended was jaw dropping. So kick butt and so poetic of you. Because you're right. I give you props, and keep this up you hear.
I really really really enjoy the motif of the bird and the personification used (man, too much english class lol)... it really flows and the lay out of it adds to the fluidity of it all. Keep up the amazing work
