A man lie bleeding on the ground,
He must stay there until he’s found.
A soldier that has given his all,
But now has sadly taken the fall.
A deadly wound is in his leg,
For his life he is going to beg.
A bullet was shot right from a gun.
His life he’ll loose, since the sniper won.
Through his pain, he releases a moan,
The truth is that he’ll die alone.
He’ll never see his family again,
Or say good-bye to his son of ten.
He closes his eyes just once more,
His final thought away from war.
He imagines his family being right there,
Surrounded by people he knows will care.
