    When you think about it,
    they are just silly words

Silly words that dont make sense
silly words that make me catch my breath

strings of bad intentions and bets
sugar coated to catch the eye

piles of words and lines that I wish
    I'd never heard

a constant battle to regain my strenght

The words that speak to me have hurt me,
the words that stroke my face have made me cry

I have learned to build a wall up so high up
that words have trouble passing by

You shoot your arrows with sweet poisoned words
and looking up I mistake them for birds

try to catch one and hold it close
like a sweet robin upon my breast

but it stings to hold it near
and its hard to let the robin go

    holding on to false promises
    retaning lost words
is like trying to remember what was never really there

those silly words that affect me so
seem to be the foundation of my very core

I have grown immune to silly words
I have shread to piece false hope

My gaze does not wander to the sky
and my hands dont reach out with hope

    common sense has taken hold
    and shaken my whole world.

What is said is in most cases worse than a physical torment. Physical wounds do heal in time, but emotional ones are there for much longer and are hard to tear down.

I admire the image of the false caress to the cheek. The lack of true compassion shines through. A feeling of being alone in a huge world full of lost souls trying to regain dignity is capture very well.

It is a timeless piece that can stand for any generation. Most have been in this spot at least once and it is a long way to climb.

    Nice job.....HR
