    dotsWaiting for the Kiss (revised)dots
    -------------------------------------------

A little bit over my head
as the pretty-eyed boy takes me by the hand.
He leads me to the perfect place-
I'm just where I want to be.

    I listen to his story,
As he puts his arms around me-
It was enough to make me nervous.

I stare at him, transfixed by his smile,
    and my heart slows down.
I hold my breath waiting for the kiss.
I wonder...can he see it on my face?

We get closer to escape the night's cold,
I feel the moment approaching, with the tilt of his head,
and a stroke of my face.

    His lips brush mine
sending ocean waves crashing through my veins.
I try not to notice my mind as it escapes my body.
The intimacy pulls me back into his embrace
    and I am perfectly infatuated.
