    Description:
       Meh... I was eating a plum. For some odd reason it reminded me of pregnancy.

    A plum, ripening:
    Soft contours
    Swelling in the sun,
    Freckled cheeks
    Burgeoning,
    Crease narrowing
    To a point where petals
    And pollen
    Once mingled;
    The new life moves,
    Reaching out towards the sun.

      Fruit has long been a symbol of fertility. This is really good. I think a plum is a good thing to use to symbolize pregnancy because it only has one seed.

      I like the way you have used imagery to describe the ripening of both a plum and pregnancy...It's very clever, putting all that needs to be said in a very short space of time. Very nice, I liked it.
