A True Companion -------------------------------------------
Have you ever felt all alone and wished for someone to Love and have them Love you back?
In your mind you may be thinking of a man or a woman
But if your looking for real Love and companionship then what you really need is a cat
They are the most beautiful creatures on this Earth and they give undying Love
Before you say No Please try it and Im sure you wont feel alone anymore
hahaha...cat is so much more independent then dogs...
*smiles*
and they have such different personalities...
i am speaking from experience
they are really a lovely company
*wince*
except if you spoilt them and they think they have the right to sit on your lap and eat at the table with you, with you feeding them and digging their claws in, in protest to you lifting them
but they make for the best companion when you are sad or lonely
Cats a really great companions. I love animals and cats are my favorite. Anyone who is lonely and in need of a friend should definantly try adopting a cat their are many who need a home and just want someone to love.
I think its nice that you and your mother both like to write. Its really cool of you to let her post her writing on your page.
Wow your mother can write well. I like the second sentence when she guesses my thinking correctly even before i open my mouth. Nice psychologycal combination. This work is shor, yet it is very meaningful. However, i disagree with that, i know that pets can be a true companion, however for me i need someone to talk to, someone who can understand what i am saying and telling me what i need someone to tell me. Well, it is just me because i never have any pet and i dont think i will get one in the future haha.
I love cats; I'm a huge animal and nature lover. May girlfriend don't like cats so we got a dog instead, an English bulldog.
In this write I couldn’t help to feel something deeper than just cats. Like a cry for real companionship, or loneliness. Maybe a loved one that passed away. Another thing, I felt like she is hurting emotional. It’s just the whey she described the cats, like a cat can not hurt you like a man or a woman can.
But most likely, it’s my overactive imagination and your mother just really like cats.
Interesting piece, I can tell that you're trying to express the message here, perhaps trying a little too hard.
Though I find your tact extremely apealing, no frills, no sugar on top, a simple message that asks the reader to comply nicely.
Though I don't personally subscribe to this belief I do understand that -most- people have someone out there for them.
Personally I think people are vile cruel and have self-serving interests at all time, but that's just human nature. I don't think we'd be human without it.
But you've tapped into another part of human nature, the need to love and feel loved. The desire to hold a companion.
For me this piques a question, Is it simply the instinct to mate that drives man (or woman) to find a mate? Or is it our consciousness and it's complex social workings that force us to need a companion to share our lives with?
hi ron tell your mum i let my wife read this piece and she realy liked and agreed with her,we also have a cat, my daughter named him teddy, because he was so cuddly. wev,e had him for 6 years now,and we wouldn,t miss him for anything.the way i see it , cats are more independant than dogs, that,s why i prefer cats.thanks for the read
catch you later
Your mother is my new hero.
I couldn't agree more. An animal is all you need to make life worth living.
They're so much more caring and honest than most people I've met. I love my dogs more than any human. They're very open with their emotions, haha especially my oldest one. He's a real character. If someone even looks at me wrong, he'll attack them. That might sound kind of crazy, but I love it because it shows how much he cares.
I used to have cats. I don't think they really liked me as much as I liked them. But that's okay... we had good times anyway.
I really enjoyed this. It made me happy. So thank your mom for sharing.
in the house i rent there are two dogs and a cat. the cats name is keebie. that cat LOVES me, and i have no idea why. i'm allergic so i take a claritan and watch a movie with keebie in my lap. she is the most adorable cat in the world.
Did u ever try finding out what kittycampbel means?
It means cat-lover I used poetic licence here!
I would say your piece is finely written with a great use of retoric qns that build anxiety only to get the understatement of this lovely cat
Woww keep the fire burning, thats to your mum
to you all I can say is I liked the great feeling of love you potarayed.
With this kind of heart you will end up sucessful in Life
Take care.
KC
Oh, my, we are both cat lovers! I could not agree more! My two rescued littermates are the cats meow as I'm certain yours is, too. I shall gladly read more of your lovely poetry. :-) Sharon
I agree. Cats are wonderful companions. I had two at one time and they were so great to have around and watch them play. They were so carefree. Wonderful poem.
Katana
i had a cat once, when i would cry she would hop on the bed with me and lick the tears off my face.she was a wonderful companion.
she was always there for me when no one else cared.the world would be a better place if everyone had a cat. good dread.
i liked the surprise ending of this.
sadly, i am allergic to cats.
i think you are right though.
most of the single people i know own cats.
thats all they talk about. just as if they where kids.
I can't really argue with this. Cats rock. At least cats that don't live in my house. My cat is satan. Anway, Great write. I love the whole "love in humans is dwarfed by love to animals." Great Concept that I don't think is touched by writer's very much. So Great Job Ron's Mother, I love it.
I'm so not a cat person. The cat I currently have at the moment likes to bite and attack me. I try my best to stay away. But I absolutely love dogs. They'll love you no matter what. Cat's to me seem so cold and distant. Well, that's how my cat is anyway. I can't say that's what every single cat is like, though.
Overall, I thought the poem was great besides my whole not loving cats thing. And think it's also great that you're submitting you mother's poetry. I really enjoyed reading it.
can't argue with the cat thing, Ron!
they are my favourite companions sometimes when i am feeling so down, and they are right there, purring and loving me unconditionally..
it's a special kind of love, the love of God's first-born...
give your mother my love and tell her to keep writing!! just get those thoughts out on paper.
This was sad and touching in an off, almost depressing kind of way... I'd say more but I feel like I'm almost insulting your mothers personality by reviewing the poem :-p. I thought it was good, it wasn't exactly poetic, as I've said about one of her pieces before, rather just like talking, and I think that fit it pretty well.
I'm a cat person myself, but My cats don't love me. They attack me. Especially the one I'm named after, Meowsy. That cat had wrath... and there's where my name is derived from. Of course, kittens are cute though. I was told, when my aunt died, that Cats can understand when you're sad. I think I believe that.
Maybe your mom could get an ES account for herself? Just a suggestion.
