Description: This is a poem I wrote for my [now ex]boyfriend on Valentines Day of 2007. It may not be the best thing you've ever read, but when he read it, tears came to his eyes. It doesn't mean all that much to me, but it is still one of the best gifts I've ever created.

With the absence of love
comes the absence of light
and bitter cold sets in
nipping the noses and toes
of those who lose their way
But with the presence of love
light, color shines through
cascading forward and
filling the frostbitten hearts
with a long-lost warmth
You are my color, my light
my warmth that allows me
to live and to continue forth
even through the struggles
that push limits of the heart
Life is complete with you
with strength and care
that can take an icy heart
and make it melt to bring
forth the love it's held.
This is a great piece, so heart felt and beautiful. ANyone would be lucky t o have such a poem wrote for them. You are an amazing writer. Again, you have a verry strong last stanza in this one, excpesialy (sp?) the last two lines of it. Amazing piece, keep writing.
