I dont think a lot of people really understand what emo is.. when they here "cutter" they associate that with emo. but there is a big difference between someone who is emo, and someone who is a cutter. Emo's are people who do it to get attention, they will barely cut themselves, then run around showing their "scars" to their friends and what not. a cutter on the other hand, is someone with a seriously problem, who really NEEDS help... but will hardly ever utter a word of it to anyone. Cutters are those who cut themselves so deep, they could probably really bleed to death... they are the ones who wear long sleeve shirts in the dead of summer to hide their scars.
What made me think about this, is i was reading something that someone posted on here. and their poem had NOTHING at all to do with cutting... it did have to do with depression, but not cutting. and in the description of the poem, they said who they were getting their feelings out... and how it was better than cutting. and a REAL cutter never would have said that... because 9 out of 10 cutters dont want anyone to know that they mutilate their bodies to feel better about themselves. Emo's piss me off... thats all. because their isnt a damn thing wrong with them, other than they want attention. you guys seriously need to get a grip and get over it, there are people out there who really DO have a problem with this............ |
