Conflict Within
What drives the mind and it's emotion? Thoughts? Desires? Love? Devotion? Or is it just a simple beast That holds us down and wants to feast? Making mockery of our will Causing chaos for the thrill. Heart's desire not satisfied Longing for the other side. The side of dark and shameful things Opposed to joy and wedding rings Morals, choices lessons learned Wisdom earned, pain that burns. God's directions bold and clear His contradiction oh so queer How can the mind control desire When the human heart is not so wired? Who is the master of a human soul? The mind that minds? Or heart that controls? |

| I love this write.
